KĀPITI GETS A TASTE OF AOTEAROA’S BEST COMEDY WITH SATURDAY LAUGHS

Laughs on Tour heads to Kāpiti this spring for the ultimate two-hour comedy showcase Saturday Laughs, heading to town on Saturday 19 October at Coastlands Theatre, Te Raukura ki Kāpiti for an evening of non-stop hilarity.
 
MCing this night of uproarious laughs is none other than Pax Assadi. Pax has become a household name with his widely acclaimed autobiographical TV show Raised by Refugeeson TVNZ. He’s hosted 60 Seconds and The Great Kiwi Bake Off, and will also be familiar as part of comedy trio Frickin Dangerous Bro.
 
Headlining this comedy showcase is award-winning comedian James Mustapic. Well known for winning Celebrity Treasure Island, as well as his hit TVNZ+ series Abandonment Issues, James has been a regular performer across the NZ comedy circuit and has also appeared on the likes of Have You Been Paying Attention? and Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont-Spelling Bee.
 
Joining them is much-loved Wellington based comedian Neil Thornton. Originally starting his comedy career in New York, since moving to New Zealand Neil has made a big impact on the New Zealand comedy scene, running the NZ Comedy School, and winning multiple awards including Best Comedian (2020 Wellington Comedy Awards).


Kāpiti will also be treated to local comedians Sera Devcich and Annie Harper. With a strong background in musical theatre, Sera has turned to the world of stand up comedy, where she’s been climbing the ranks. She’s performed at the Comedy Gala, has appeared on 7 Days and has toured alongside the likes of Ben Hurley and Paul Ego. A newcomer to comedy, Annie was a 2024 Wellington Raw Comedy Quest finalist, and is a graduate of the NZ Comedy School.
