THE LAUGHS CONTINUE IN CARTERTON WITH ALL STAR LINE-UP OF COMEDIANS

After bringing the laughs to Wairarapa in February, the sell-out Saturday Laughs is back for round two with even more top Kiwi talent. This two-hour comedy showcase will have the Carterton Events Centre filled with laughter on 23 July.

This night of comedy gold will be hosted by multi-award winning comedian, writer and one of the country’s best MCs, Nick Rado. A Kiwi favourite, Nick is perhaps best known as a guest panellist and writer on over 250 episodes of 7 Days and has the chops to prove his talent, as the only comedian to win the NZ Comedy Guild Award for Best Comedy MC five times, as well as having won Best Male Comedian in 2019.

Headlining the night is a leading light of New Zealand comedy, Justine Smith. A regular face on New Zealand TV screens on 7 Days and The Project, she’s also been on Funny Girls and Rhys Darby’s Short Poppies. A winner of the prestigious Billy T Award and Best Female Comedian at the NZ Comedy Guild Awards, Justine is a powerhouse that must be seen.

Alongside Nick and Justine is the super talented line-up of Aotearoa’s best comedians from across the country, including Dave Wiggins. Originally from the US and now based in Whanganui, Dave is making his triumphant return to comedy after a 10-year break to deliver his unique energetic observational stand up. Storyteller, director, blues singer-songwriter and of course comedian Sameena Zehra also joins the line-up, as well as award-winning Lesa Macleod-Whiting who won over audiences at the last Saturday Laughs, and Martinborough local and comedy newcomer Daniel Boerman.
